Recipes are notoriously difficult to navigate. with short and vague descriptions, a visual system is needed to allow people from all walks of life to enjoy delicious meals. The result? A universal recipe that transcends age, language and comprehension. 

Understand and
Empathize

Before we can implement a visual system we must first understand the recipe by cooking it ourselves. After detailed drafting we leave no holes for error. Choosing a format that's not only visually interesting, we add creativity and take into account the user experience of having the recipe visible while cooking with messy ingredients.

Redesign

Before this recipe was an app, it was originally a three-fold pamphlet. After looking back, I decided to redesign this project from my junior year into an app for a more modern take with brighter, trendier colors. Below, you can see the original design.
